KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 – Association of Innovative Technology Finance and Marketing, the Shenzhen Municipal Government Procurement Association, Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance and NGX signed two cooperation agreements on the Sino–Malaysia International Shenzhen High-Tech Eco-Industrial Park project, ushering the development from blueprint into execution.
The agreements stipulate that the Malaysian side will grant the park preferential land allocations, tax incentives, customs facilitation and industry support, and will establish a one-stop service centre.
On the corporate front, Chinese partners have set up China Going-Global Alliance Services Co. Ltd. to steer the project’s implementation, signing a joint-venture framework under which they will hold 70% of equity and Malaysian partners 30%.
Under the master plan, the first phase will centre on two flagship zones: the Compass High-Tech Eco-Industrial Park along the West Coast Expressway near Kuala Lumpur, earmarked for smart manufacturing, next-generation electronic information and the digital economy; and the Delapan Digital & Green Industrial Park on Kedah’s Malaysia–Thailand border, focusing on artificial intelligence, green technology, biotechnology and data centres.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by representatives from the China (Shenzhen) Comprehensive Development Research Institute, China Energy Engineering Corporation, PowerChina, China State Construction Engineering Fifth Bureau, China Resources Konka, Special Zone Construction, Yuhetian, Unilumin Technology, Zhenpin Zhenhao, Food Safety Express and Malaysia AREA Company.
