AITFM participates "China-Malaysia High-Tech Eco-Industrial Park" special meeting

On April 28, 2025, Jeff Chan, The President of the Association of Innovative Technology Finance and Marketing, participates a special meeting on the "China-Malaysia High-Tech Eco-Industrial Park" in Luohu District, Shenzhen.

Following the signing of the USD 22 billion project framework agreement on April 11, the AITFM, Shenzhen Government Procurement Association and the Malaysian Trade and Economic Delegation held a special meeting about "China-Malaysia High-Tech Eco-Industrial Park" on April 28. This meeting signifies further consensus between the two nations and demonstrates their mutual determination to accelerate project progress.


The Malaysian trade and economic delegation attending this meeting comprised 8 representatives from organizations including Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), Malaysia's national sovereign wealth fund; Northern Gateway Sdn Bhd (NGX), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance; AREA Group; Marq International and more.


The President of the Association of Innovative Technology Finance and Marketing, Jeff Chan, and Feng Qiang, President of the Shenzhen Government Procurement Association, met with Dato Stewart LaBrooy, Chairman of Malaysia's PNB, and representatives from the Industry Overseas Alliance on the meeting to reach a consensus on key issues such as project capital accounting, investment phasing, and implementation methods. Both parties from China and Malaysia have established a project timeline:

  1. By mid-May, they will finalize the list of preferential policies for park-entering enterprises and the detailed rules for Halal certification projects.

  2. By the end of May, preliminary preparations for the Kedah state project will commence, along with high-level engagements with the Malaysian government to finalize implementation plans.
